In “Hitting Them Hardest When They're Small", Jonathan Kozol has tried to point out the challenges that the student face. In this particular chapter, the author has tried to focus on the money as an important issue in the school and every students are not treated in an equal manner. In the school there is a division made between the expensive children and cheap children. In the public school, the students already know that they won’t be treated like the private school and they won’t get the facilities that are provided in the private school.
